Here at inlinePRO, we are always trying to raise the bar. With engine technology always improving, there are always new standards to be set. With the previous Comp4 street class record being set with an old H22 motor, Team inlinePRO decided on a new goal, to set a new one.

Jeremy Allen, along with fellow teammate Brian Fisher, set out to create a new all motor monster named, Project Orange Crush. The heart of the beast is a "AllenBuilt" signature K-series motor. Utilizing a k24 bottom end, the block was resleeved using AEBS sleeves for their reliable strength. CP Pistons created custom pistons according to Jeremy's exactly specifications. Connecting the pistons, to the crank are inlinePRO's connecting rods, ready to handle the load close to 11,000rpm. A custom crank was designed as well to Jeremy's specs to create the perfect all-motor stroker beast.

Mounted on the beast of a bottom end, is a ported work of art from Tom at Portflow Designs, allowing air to freely flow through the head. InlinePRO's springs and titanium retainers are put to work while the engine rotates close to the 11,000rpm rev limit. Custom Crower camshafts handle the load while this hatchback screams down the track.

After Allen assembles the motor, Brian Fisher begins his mission to install the heart into its new body. Brian also fabricated the custom intake manifold setup, as well as the custom race header for the K-series. The power of the engine is transferred to the drivetrain through a Competition Clutch Ceramic Twin-Disc setup. The drivetrain stress is handled by Stage 5 DriveShaft Shop axles.

After the car is ready, it is then strapped to the dyno, where Brian Fisher tunes it with a Hondata system. The car is finally tuned and sent to the track with over 310 wheel horsepower and 200 ft/lbs of torque. Although the car is required to sit at a 2200lb weight limit, it still propelled down the strip with the best time of 10.89 seconds and trapped a best speed of 127mph.

Project: Orange Crush set a new Comp 4 Street Class record with the 10.89 pass. The motor has seen over 40 dyno pulls, and 5 race events making it to the finals every event and still pulls hard. Now that this record is set, its time for us to make a new goal. With our naturally aspirated motor running similar times to force induction cars in the same weight class, maybe Team inlinePRO will create pro-stock chassis with another Allenbuilt signature K-series motor is too come? Stay tuned...
